British Airways serves over 160 destinations, including six domestic. Tinned baby food is available on long-haul flights, but it is recommended that you bring your own un-opened baby food, sterilised bottles and any other equipment, in your hand baggage. Furthermore, British Airways has also created a range of children’s meals that is nutritionally balanced.
Unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for children between 5-11 years traveling without an adult; whereas, children under 5 years of age are not allowed to travel unless accompanied by an adult who is at least 16 years old.
British Airways charges the adult fare for children traveling alone. In addition to the flight price, you will have to pay: $50 for short haul flights and flights within the UK and $75 for long haul flights.
Children from age five upwards can travel alone only on a single sector, direct, non-stop flight.
Children from the age of six can travel alone on any British Airways flight.
